You are required to choose ONE required piece out of the recommended list (to be released early 2008). Alternatively, you may submit your title within the framework of the theme indicated below.

For example, if you are participating in the First Division, either you select the required piece from our recommended list or submit a Grade 4 and above equivalent required piece title.

Please note that your own choice of the required piece has to be submitted with your application form subject to approval from the Advisory Council. In the event that it is not accepted, the band has to submit within seven days another piece for approval.

Choice Piece

The participating band will choose choice piece according to the requirements stipulated. This choice piece has to be submitted with your application form subject to approval from the Advisory Council. In the event that it is not accepted, a reason will be given and the band has to submit within seven days another piece for approval.

1 Musicians must not be more than 12 years of age as of 1 August 2006 except musicians who are studying in the participating institution.
2 Timing starts on the first beat of first piece and continue until the end of presentation.

Each musician may only represent ONE participating band in this competition.

Special Allowance

Professional musicians are allowed up to 10% of the total participating strength. ONLY APPLICABLE for Open Division.
